I am inspired by the nature that surrounds me, as I contemplate the beauty of my childhood beach I appreciate the timelessness of natural spaces. I scramble down the foot holes formed in the sandstone with larger feet and modern distractions. However, in this place the creativity and sense of wonder is more than nostalgia, it is my source of inspiration. I return to my studio and transfer this moment into a wearable piece that I can share with others. Using precious metals and time honored metal smithing techniques I create jewelry that is unique, balancing my love for organic forms with my fascination for geometric order.

 

I have grown up in Santa Cruz, California which is famous for fostering the arts. I have been privileged to have instructors that impressed upon me the importance of quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design. I have over twenty years of experience working with metal and I continue to learn new techniques and embrace new materials.
